摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for protecting a furnace bottom part in a blast furnace by which refractories in the furnace bottom part can be protected while minimizing the increase of operational cost by obtaining the optimum charging timing of TiO2. SOLUTION: The raise of temperature of the refractories is detected based on sequentially measured values of the temperature of the refractories at the furnace bottom part in the blast furnace, and the thickness of a solidified layer existing in the furnace bottom part is estimated based on both of the temperature rising rate and the temperature rising acceleration of the refractories. At the time when the thickness of the estimated solidified layer becomes not more than a predetermined value, the charging quantity of titanium oxide is increased.
