PURPOSE: A washing machine and a method for outputting malfunction warning is provided to sense the operation state of the washing machine in a service center at all times and transmit a message to a user for prompt measures. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine includes a load part(130) including a motor for driving inner and outer tubs and a pulsator, and water supplying and draining valves, a key input part(100) for inputting instructions of a user, a readable/writable storing part(170) for storing washing machine-related information such as washing machine operation algorithm, washing machine use history and washing courses, a display part(140) for displaying functions and operation states of the washing machine and a washing course selected by the user, a warning sound generating part(150) for generating a warning sound for informing the user of generation of malfunction, a connection part(110) for the data communication with a service center, and a system microcomputer(160) for controlling the above parts for generating the warning sound in the warning sound generating part when the service center senses the malfunction of the washing machine via the data communication with the connection part. |
