PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pan head device capable of attaching a rotated body to a position where a smaller rotation load is applied. SOLUTION: A tilt arm 6 is attached to the tip of a horizontal rotating shaft 3 rotated by a motor 4, and a pedestal 8 to which the rotated body 10 is attached is attached to the tilt arm 6 in such a way that the pedestal 8 can be moved in the left/right and upper/lower directions. The pedestal 8 is moved in the left/right directions so that the output of a torsion detecting element 9 for detecting the torsion of the rotating shaft 3 when the rotated body 10 is in a horizontal posture is zero. Next, the rotated body 10 is held at a tilting posture with an arbitrary angle α, and the rotated body 10 is moved in the upper/lower directions so that the output of the element 9 is zero. |
