PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic array probe and an ultrasonic testing method to conduct an ultrasonic testing with transmitter/receiver separated array probes 2, 3 faced each other, enabling wider testable scope in a plate widthwise direction than ever before. SOLUTION: In this testing method, the transmitter/receiver separated array probes 2, 3 assume a reference axis 4 in their transducer arranging direction to align each transducer on the reference axis respectively so as to divide each transducer in half by the reference axis, and the ultrasonic array probe rotates each transducer on the reference axis respectively to set different tilting angle to the test section per transducer. Then allow the ultrasonic array probe and the array probe to be faced each other in an array arranging direction and be located on a test body 1 at certain intervals, performing testing.
