PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gasket having excellent strength and sealing properties at high temperatures. SOLUTION: This gasket is characterized by containing a poly(p-phenylene benzobisoxazole) fiber as a fibrous substrate in the case of the gasket comprising the fibrous substrate, a filler and a binder.
