PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat for a vehicle capable of keeping the back of a seat back horizontal when the seat back is inclined forward by using a usual reclining seat without using a reclining seat with a two-step hinge, and effectively utilizing a table. SOLUTION: A striker engaging with a jump lock on the rear side of a seat cushion frame is made movable vertically, a lock mechanism of the striker capable of locking in the upper limit position and the lower limit position of the striker and a lock releasing mechanism of the striker releasing the lock state are installed. In the state that the seat back is inclined forward, an operating knob is operated to release the lock in the lower limit position of the striker, the striker is made moveable vertically, the rear side of the seat cushion is drawn up together with the striker, the operating knob is released to lock the striker in the upper limit position, and thereby, the seat cushion can be inclined and fixed. As a result, the back of the set back can be utilized as a horizontal table surface.
