PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of safe and efficient car washing operation by performing speedy car washing for finishing car washing only by moving forward one time in a drive-through type portal car washer. SOLUTION: In a car washer body, an upper surface brush device, a side surface brush device, and a blower nozzle are arranged in order from the front side, and a car body detecting means is arranged in a rear end part of the car washer body. Brushing washing and car body drying are simultaneously advanced, and the car washer body can perform the speedy car washing for finishing the car washing only by moving forward one time from a car washing starting position. When finishing the car washing, the car washer body is retreated to the car washing starting position by detecting a retreat of an automobile.
