<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for display and removal of the defective part of a steel strip, which enables easy inspection as to whether or not an unacceptable product is mixed in acceptable ones, even when the information about the number of marks at the time of marking is different from the information about it at the time of detecting the marks and enables an remarkable improvement of removal efficiency of unacceptable products having defective parts. SOLUTION: In the method for display and removal of a defective part N of a steel strip S, a marking device 5 marks the steel strip S with a mark M having serial number information. Thereafter, the mark M is detected by the mark detecting device 22 and a steel plate having a mark M is sorted out of cut steel plates according to the mark detection signals detected by the device 22 so that the steel plate having a mark M is removed. The marking device 22 may be also made to detect the serial number information with the mark M.</p> |
