PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stabilizer for fumigant composition which contains a compound of general formula (I) as an active ingredient and a diazocarbonamide as a foaming agent, capable of preventing the active ingredient from decomposing, and to provide a method of stabilizing the composition. SOLUTION: This stabilizer for fumigant composition contains a compound of the general formula (I) (R1 is a halogen; and R2 is a 1-4C alkyl) as the active ingredient and the diazocarbonamide as the foaming agent, the fumigant composition contains one, two or more kinds of compounds selected from carboxylic acid esters, diglycol ethers, siloxanes, vegetable oil, and liquid paraffin as components having stabilizing action. The method for stabilizing the fumigant composition is also provided.
