PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposal device capable of preventing a stop of decomposition of the garbage by preventing a rancidity of a garbage disposal material. SOLUTION: The garbage disposal device is provided with a garbage disposal tank 1 for accommodating the garbage disposal material 2 deposited with a microorganism and the garbage. The device is also provided with a stirring means for stirring the garbage disposal material 2 and the garbage in the garbage disposal tank 1. The device is provided with a detection means for detecting a concentration of carbon dioxide or a temperature of the garbage disposal material 2 in the garbage disposal tank 1. The device is provided with a cooling means for cooling the garbage disposal material 2 in the case where the concentration of carbon dioxide detected by the detection means is a predetermined concentration or more or the temperature detected by the detection means is a predetermined temperature or more.
