METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING WEATHER RESISTANT COATED ARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture stable weather resistant coated articles consisting of various base materials by averting the occurrence of hair cracks in weather resistant coating film and the peeling of the weather resistant coating film from the base materials in the extreme case. SOLUTION: An inorganic coating material mainly composed of alkaline metal silicate is prepared and the inorganic coating material is applied on the base material 1 to form a primer coating film 2 and a finish coating film 3. The primer coating film 2 and the finish coating film 3 are thereafter cured while the coating films are externally subjected to moisture control and the weather resistant coating film is formed on the base material 1.
