PURPOSE: A ferroelectric liquid crystal display and a method of fabricating the liquid crystal display are provided to improve color characteristic without deteriorating alignment characteristic or cell gap uniformity. CONSTITUTION: A ferroelectric liquid crystal display includes an upper substrate(304) on which a color filter(305), a common electrode(306) and an alignment film(307) are sequentially formed, and a lower substrate(301) on which a pixel electrode and an alignment film(303) are sequentially formed. The liquid crystal display further includes a sealant and spacers(308) for maintaining a predetermined gap between the upper and lower substrates, and ferroelectric liquid crystal(311) filled between the upper and lower substrates. The alignment film formed on the lower substrate have different thickness according to color pixels. |
