PURPOSE: A washing machine to be driven by a fuel cell is provided to realize the self-generation of electric energy and heat to wash clothing by the electric energy and heat water or clothing, thereby increasing the energy efficiency of the system and reducing the energy consumption. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine to be driven by a fuel cell includes an outer case(10) having a space inside, a door coupled with a top surface of the outer case, an outer tub(13) supported and coupled by a plurality of dampers to vertically stand in the outer case, a washing tub(14) rotatably and vertically coupled in the outer tub, a driving motor mounted at a lower part of the outer tub, a power transmission unit(16) for transmitting the driving force of the motor to the washing tub, a fuel reformer(30) coupled with the outer case for generating H2 gas and reaction heat by mixture fuel supplied from a fuel supplying element, a stack(40) for serving as a power source of a driving part including the driving motor by generating electricity through the electric reaction between H2 gas supplied from the fuel reformer and O2 supplied additionally, a heat recovery element(60) for recovering the reaction heat to heat water, a water supplying element(70) for supplying the heated water and cold water provided from a water service as washing water, and a water draining element(18) communicated with the outer tub for draining the washing water.
