PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording material, with which the hue after printing of all the printed matter at the printing with a printer or the like including a continuous printing has no variation. SOLUTION: In this ink jet recording material, an ink accepting layer is provided on one side of a support, the other side of which a rear coating layer, the pH of the film surface of the ink accepting layer is set to be 3 to 6 under the condition that the difference between the pH of the film surface of the rear coating layer and the pH of the film surface of the ink accepting layer is set to be within 1.5.
