PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover purification capability of exhaust purification catalyst, while maintaining high fuel economy. SOLUTION: The exhaust purification catalyst 24 for purifying components in exhaust gas is installed, in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine. When air/fuel ratio in the exhaust gas is made rich, to recover the purification capacity of the exhaust purification catalyst, the output of the internal combustion engine is decreased, the air/fuel ratio in the exhaust gas is made rich, insufficient output to required output caused by decrease in the output of the internal-combustion engine is supplemented with a motor 37, and as a result, the required output is outputted. |
