摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film laminate comprising a reflection type polarizing element and a dichroic polarizing element and reducible in weight and thickness, to provide a method for producing the laminate, and to apply the laminate to a liquid crystal display element. SOLUTION: The thin optical film laminate has a dichroic polarizing element 1 comprising a uniaxially stretched polyvinyl alcohol resin film, on which iodine or a dichroic dye has been adsorbed and oriented, a first adhesive layer 11 and a protective layer 2 comprising a transparent resin stacked in this order at the central part and has a reflection type polarizing element 3 stacked on one face of the resulting laminate, by way of a second adhesive layer 12 and a peelable film 5 stacked on the other face by way of a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 13. The thin optical film laminate is produced, by stacking the protective layer 2 on one face of the dichroic polarizing element 1 by way of the first adhesive layer 11, stacking the peelable film 5 on one face of the resulting laminate, having a three-layer structure by way of the pressure sensitive adhesive layer 13 and stacking the reflective polarizing element 3 on the other face by way of the second adhesive layer 12.
