摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prestressed concrete pier solving the point of the prestressed concrete pier that manufacturing cost is increased and energy absorbing capacity is lower than an RC structure because PC steel materials are arranged extending over approximately the overall length of a pier section. SOLUTION: The PC steel materials are arranged only to the lower section of the pier section installed on the top face of a footing and prestress is introduced. Additional reinforcements are mounted towards an upper section from the lower section of the pier section. Accordingly, the restoring-force characteristics and earthquake-resistant performance of a prestressed concrete bridge are improved largely by prestress working by the PC steel materials and the working that the additional reinforcements transmit force within the range of the introduction of prestress to the upper end side of the pier section.
