PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal head that can form a high quality image by effectively preventing a wrinkle or a flaw from being created on a recording medium. SOLUTION: A head substrate 1 wherein a plurality of heating resistors 4 are arranged thereon along one side of the top face in a roughly quadrangular shape is provided on a radiator plate 7. A support member 8 having a top face which is to be connected to the top face of the head substrate 1 being flush therewith is attached to the radiator plate 7. A coefficient of dynamic friction of the top face of the support member 8 is equal to or lower than a coefficient of dynamic friction of the top face of the head substrate 1.
