PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a super abrasive grain sharp-edged cutting grinding wheel capable of accurately and efficiently cutting expensive hard and fragile material with a small margin. SOLUTION: The doughnut-shaped grinding wheel wherein super grains are scattered in metal bond to be sintered and formed in a uniform thickness is a cutting grinding wheel that isϕ50 to 200 mm in outer diameter, 0.1 to 1.0 mm in thickness, Young's modulus 50 to 300 GPa in the strength of a grinding wheel, 20 to 300μm in average grain diameter, 10 to 80 percent by capacity in super abrasive grain content on a grinding wheel outer peripheral portion forming a cutting edge portion. Plural cutting grooves that is not less than 0.5 mm in width and length are provided on the outer peripheral portion of the grinding wheel, and the edge length between the cutting grooves are made to be not more than 75 mm, thereby improving discharging performance of chips. Chipping generated on a cutting surface can be prevented by chamfering a cutting edge.
