PURPOSE: A method and apparatus is provided to simplify data transmission signal line and driving element, while eliminating the problem of difficulty in maintenance and reduction of yield rate. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises an inkjet head including ink chambers, electrodes for ink chambers, and electrostriction element for changing pressure in the ink chamber; a plurality of semiconductor switching elements for connecting the electrode to a power line; and a data transmission unit for receiving, in groups, the driving signals for controlling the semiconductor switching elements, and applying the received signal to the corresponding semiconductor switching element. A method comprises a first step of decoding parallel data signals corresponding to each nozzle, into data groups; a second step of receiving the data group decoded in the first step, and extracting only the data required for each group; and a third step of applying the data extracted in the second step, to the driving unit for each nozzle.
