PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing plastic hood assemblies is provided to improve a weight reduction, a rigidity, a dent resistance, a corrosion resistance and an oil canning phenomenon by replacing into a thermosetting plastic resin as a material of hood assembly. CONSTITUTION: An outer panel of plastic resin is prepared to have a flange along to its edge. An inner panel of plastic resin is prepared to have an egg box design throughout the surface. The outer and inner panels are bonded with an adhesive based on at least one selected from an epoxy, an urethane and an acryl. The inner panel is fixed on a jig to be subjected to bonding with sub-pieces such as hinge mountings and strikers, and then riveting. The inner panel is applied with an adhesive along to its edge and on its middle portion, and then bonded with the outer panel using a bonding jig.
