PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the action of an axial load in a damping means for a viscous fluid joint. SOLUTION: This viscous fluid joint is provided with an input member for inputting power, an output member for the power inputted to the input member by the viscous fluid to be transmitted, a bearing for bearing the input and output members relatively rotatably with respect to each other, a transmission control means relating to the input and output members for controlling the amount of the viscous fluid relative to the power transmission, and the damping means relating to either or both of the input and output members. In this case, the damping means is composed of an inner ring, an outer ring relatively rotatable with respect to the inner ring in the circumferential direction, and a rolling element installed so as to be able to lock both the inner and outer rings between them, and either of the inner and outer rings is engaged with a non-rotative member. |
