PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently finish texture for the collar or cuffs of a white shirt, for example, by recovering a part which is shrunk in washing when the texture is finished by pressing. SOLUTION: A texture is held between an upper iron 4 and lower irons 2, 3 and 3 and pressed in a texture shaping and finishing device 1. An extending mechanism 23 for holding the ends of the texture before pressing and stretching them is arranged in the neighborhood of the lower irons 2, 3 and 3 where the texture is placed. Restricting means 16, 34 and 39 for restricting the movement of texture immediately before the end of an extending processing during the extending processing by the extending mechanism 23 are disposed in the neighborhood of the upper iron 4 or the lower irons 2, 3 and 3.
