PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent powder and granular material entering into clearances between adjoining projections from growing into large lumps even if the projections are disposed on the outer circumferential face of a roll member at fine intervals. SOLUTION: This roll for scratching powder and granular material is so constituted that the multiple projections 7 disposed at some intervals apart along the roll circumferential direction and the roll width direction are provided on the outer circumferential face 6a of the roll member 6 and the roll member is driven and rotated about a rotary shaft core along the belt width direction in the end side in the carrier direction of a carrier belt, which carries the powder and granular material along the belt width direction into a layered and uniformized state, so that the powder and granular material carried to the carrier direction end side are raked out to the lower part in the carrier direction and are forcedly dropped from the carrier belt. The outer circumferential shape of the cross section orthogonally crossing in the projection direction of the projections is formed into a circle or an approximately circle.
