PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking device capable of automatically decreasing the speed of a moving partition before entering a curve rail or a branch rail by controlling the inertia of the moving partition. SOLUTION: In the moving partition 2 hung on a running wheel 3 running on a rail 11 laid on the ceiling side, a braking body abutting on a part of the running wheel 3 with siding resistance is disposed opposite to a part of the running wheel 3 in the rail 11 on this side of a position for decelerating or stopping the moving partition 2 which is now moved or on this side near the position.
