PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressive forming method and a device for powder capable of easily forming a formed body comprising a columnar part whose cross section is a complete round columnar part, and bases provided on both end thereof. SOLUTION: Material powder P1 is filled into a cavity part 27 comprising a die hole 12 of a die 13, a first hole 17 of a sliding member 15a, and lower punches 21, 22. Into a second cavity part 19 formed on the side of a cavity 25 by a pair of recesses provided on both sliding members 15a, 15b, material powder P2 is filled. By moving the both sliding members 15a, 15b horizontally, the material powder P1 filled in the first hole 17 is replaced with the material powder P2 filled in the second hole 19. The remaining part of the die hole 12 and the material powder P filled in the second hole 19 are compressed by pressure by an upper punch and lower punches 21, 22 to form a formed body. Both sliding members 15a, 15b are opened from a dividing face, and the lower punches 21, 22 are moved upperward to remove the formed body.
