PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous floor-lustering resin composition which can markedly reduce the time required for drying and a method for applying and drying the same. SOLUTION: An aqueous floor-lustering resin composition containing, as an essential ingredient, a copolymer formed by copolymerizing at least two monomers different in the absorbed infrared wavelength region or a mixture of the copolymer is applied to a floor surface and dried by the irradiation with infrared rays under air blasting.
