<p>PURPOSE: A total reflection prism is provided to minimize a reduction of a brightness by performing only one total reflection through the prism. CONSTITUTION: A total reflection prism comprises a first sub-prism(100) having triangular-type upper and lower surfaces(108,110), a second sub-prism(102) having a triangular-type upper surface(106) and an isosceles rectangular-type lower surfaces(104), and an image display device(44) formed on the lateral surface of the first sub-prism(100). At this point, the contact surface(60) between the first sub-prism(100) and the second sub-prism(102) guiding a beam to the image display device(44) by refracting an incident beam supplied from a second lens, and supplying a beam to a projection lens by reflecting an incident image beam from the image display device(44), so that the incident light progress path is changed. At this time, the total reflection is performed only one time, thereby reducing a loss of a brightness.</p> |
