PURPOSE: An in-band signal output method for a toll exchange is provided to offer a method for outputting the in-band signal, thereby capable of using the toll exchange in the region using the in-band. CONSTITUTION: In an incoming call, a wait state is maintained(step 10). An occupation signal is output during a predetermined time(200ms)(step 11). If there is a response during a predetermined time(195ms)(step 12), it is recognized as a subscriber free and then a ring request signal is output during a predetermined time(200ms) as an arbitrary interval(100ms)(step 13). If a signal is inputted during a predetermined time(200ms) with a predetermined interval(100ms), it is recognized as a subscriber's busy and then the connection is finished(step 14). After maintaining a signal input during a predetermined time as a response(step 15), if a signal input is maintained during a predetermined time(200ms) with an arbitrary interval(100ms)(step 16), it is recognized as a clear back according to the subscriber's free control and then a cancel detection signal is output till over the predetermined time(550-850ms)(step 17). If there is a signal input during a predetermined time(650ms), a relay operation is cancelled(step 18).
