PURPOSE: An apparatus for bonding a tape carrier package is provided to prevent glass from being broken and to remarkably shorten an interval of time necessary for controlling pressure ununiformity, by attaching a pressure sensor at both ends of a pressure bar and by controlling horizontality of the pressure bar with respect to pressure data detected by the pressure sensor. CONSTITUTION: The first and second pressure sensors(33a,33b) are attached to both sides of the lower portion of the pressure bar(31). The first and second linkers(35a,35b) are attached to both sides of the upper portion of the pressure bar. A sub linker(37) is attached to at least one of the first or second linker. A motor(39) for controlling the linker controls the height of the sub linker. A motor control unit(40) compares pressure data supplied from the first and second pressure sensors and controls the motor for controlling the linker.
