PURPOSE: A spacer attaching method of a field emission display panel is provided to increase attaching force between a spacer and an anode substrate to avoid electron charging and arcing due to collision to frit material. CONSTITUTION: In a spacer attaching method of a field emission display, emulsion(303) is coated over phosphor for smoothing the phosphor. After emulsion(303) coating, frit(304) is printed to have a pattern for attaching spacers(306). After the printed frit(304) is baked to remove binder in the frit(304) in an oven, metal back thin film(305) is deposited. After metal back thin film is deposited, thermal process is performed in a furnace to remove the emulsion(303), smooth the metal back thin film(305), and pre-sinter the frit(304). The spacers(306) are aligned on the frit(304) pattern and thermally processed to be attached. The frit(304) may be patterned prior to coating the emulsion(303).
