A flexible, elastic, water-tight sheath or seal encloses the sponge on all or part of its sides, and exposes a wedge-shaped part of the sponge. A water-permeable wedge-shaped mat (4) replaces the wedge shaped part of the sponge emerging from the sponge-cover and is fixed to the sponge. The mat is stuck in strips or spots to the sponge.
