PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the failure of an engine generated, accompanying quick braking of a hybrid vehicle. SOLUTION: This hybrid vehicle is equipped with an engine 11; a dynamo motor 16; an output shaft 14 connected to a driving wheel; a differential gear device in which each gear element is connected to the engine 11, the dynamo motor 16, and the output shaft 14 respectively; an engine speed monitoring processing means 91 for monitoring the engine speed in a state with the driving of the engine 11 being stopped; an engine rotation direction detecting processing means 92 for detecting the reverse direction rotation of the engine 11, based on the engine speed; and an engine rotation preventing processing means 93 for preventing the reverse direction rotation of the engine 11 by driving the dynamo motor 16, when the reverse direction rotation of the engine 11 is detected. |
