GARBAGE TREATMENT APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress malodor by efficiently drying and treating garbage within a short time and simultaneously decomposing generated malodor. SOLUTION: A deodorization part 14 for deodorizing a treatment gas 12 after garbage drying treatment is composed of a heat exchanger 16 for deodorization which carries out heat exchange with a combustion gas to increase the temperature. The heat exchanger 16 for deodorization is constituted by installing reaction promoter 17 comprising foamed bodies 18 made of a porous ceramic material. Self-decomposition function of the treatment gas is promoted in gas phase and in the fine pores of the ceramic to assure a high withstanding property even against corrosive components and a high deodorization efficiency heat and consequently malodor generation can be suppressed.
