PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate troubles regarding contact of an extracting unit of a material to be heated or the troubles on dropping of materials to be heated due to thermal expansion and contraction of a rotary hearth. SOLUTION: A rotary hearth type heating furnace transports and heats the material 4 to be heated of a powder or a particulate state or the like, supported on the rotary hearth. The furnace comprises an extracting chute 10 provided to extract the material out of the furnace on the heath and to be movable as a separate body from a furnace wall 1.
