PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable efficient excavating work and enable operations to be performed at an operating speed bringing about favorable handleability without a reduction in output during crane work in a back hoe constituted so as to be switchable between an excavating work mode, wherein a front work device is used for the normal excavating work, and a crane work mode, wherein the front work device is used by making a hanging load act on the end of the device. SOLUTION: This back hoe is provided with a load sensing system for controlling the discharge flow of a pump P1, which feeds pressure oil to the front work device, according to a work load. When switching to the crane work mode is detected, the back hoe makes the control differential pressure of the load sensing system changed forcedly so as to reduce the discharge of the pump P1.
