PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-function type water treating agent which is applied to water systems causing slime troubles, scale troubles and corrosion troubles. SOLUTION: This water-treating agent is characterized by containing a halogenated aliphatic nitroalcohol, one or more isothiazolone complexes, a carboxylic acid-based low molecular weight polymer, an azole compound and ethylene carbonate as active ingredients.
