PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thick forming method capable of continuously thick forming without operating a backward process of a slanted thickened part. SOLUTION: To an intermediate component 40 having a thickened part in a state of an outer circumferential part is bent downwards and formed by a thick forming beforehand, a backward slanted face 74, engaging with a thickened part 40a for recovery of bending and deforming is arranged in a forming groove 64 of a rotary roller 62 operating further thick forming and the thickened part 40a is bent and thick formed by the forming groove. As the bending of the thickened part 40a is recovered by the backward slanted face 74, an offset size Q of contact position and pressurized surface between the edge of the thickened part 40a and the forming groove 64 becomes small and bending of the thickened part root is suppressed for good thick forming. Thus, a manufacturing cost is reduced as the backward process is not required to recover the slant of the thickened part.
