PURPOSE: A method is provided to manufacture a transformer and a core in a quicker, more efficient, cost-effective and less labor-intensive manner. CONSTITUTION: A method of manufacturing an electrical-power transformer comprises a first step of forming a first and a second pluralities of flakes from one or more pieces of magnetic material, a second step of applying a corrosion-protection measure to edges of the first and the second pluralities of flakes, a third step of stacking the first plurality of laminae to form a winding leg(18) and a first yoke after applying the corrosion-protection measure to the edges of the first plurality of flakes, a fourth step of installing phase windings(31a,31b) on the winding leg, a fifth step of stacking the second plurality of laminae to form a second yoke after applying the corrosion-protection measure to the edges of the second plurality of flakes; and a sixth step of fixing and coupling the second yoke to the winding leg. |
