PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to improve luminance by forming a protrusion portion on upper substrate. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises an upper plate(20), a lower plate, barrier ribs, phosphor(23) and sustain electrodes. The barrier ribs are arranged between the upper plate(20) and the lower plate. The phosphor is coated on the barrier ribs and the lower plate. The upper plate(20) has a protrusion at center of a discharge cell. The protrusion is orthogonal to the sustain electrodes. Some portions of the sustain electrodes are protruded because of the protrusion of the upper plate(20). The protrusions of the sustain electrodes made the distance between the sustain electrodes and the phosphor(23) closer so that intensity of vacuum ultraviolet ray reaching the phosphor(23) is increased. |
