PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably and easily prevent giving glare to a preceding car and favorably secure a visual field of a driver by a system for controlling light distribution of a lighting fixture for a vehicle. SOLUTION: A main control circuit of this system calculates first a reference lower limit speed Vmin according to a type of a road where the vehicle travels at a step 114. If an average speed V of the vehicle is at the reference lower limit speed Vmin or higher, distribution of lamps is determined by a standard mode (step 118). If the average speed V is below the reference lower limit speed Vmin, distribution of the lamps is determined such that the lamps give little glare to the preceding car comparing with the standard mode (step 120). After determining whichever distribution, the main control circuit outputs a signal indicating the determined distribution to a distribution control circuit (step 122) which controls light distribution of the lamps on the basis of the distribution indicating signal.
