PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction stirring joining device capable of joining by filling a cavity in a short time. SOLUTION: A rotor 2 is formed with an insertion hole 35 along a rotating axis L to which a pin shaft 36 is inserted. From a part of the tip of the shoulder part 50 of the rotor 2, a pin shaft 36 is protruded. The changing over of the relative straight advance direction of the pin shaft 36 against the rotor 2 is controlled by a electromagnetic brake 41. In joining, the rotor 2 is lowered in a state that the pin shaft is protruded, and the pin shaft 36 is inserted into a work to press with the shoulder part 50. In finishing the joining, the pin shaft 36 is lifted until the tip of the rotor becomes the same level, while keeping the pressing of the shoulder 50. At this time, a base metal is made to flow into the cavity produced by the lifting of the pin shaft 36 to fill the cavity.
