PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air quantity regulator which can accurately control the quantity of air to be supplied to a combustion part. SOLUTION: This quantity regulator 5a regulates the quantity of air to be supplied to the combustion part, being arranged between the combustion part 7 for generating the flame of a burner 1 and a blower 2 for blowing air, and equipped with a plate-shaped member 22 on fixing side and a plate-shaped member 23 on moving side which have openings 26 and 27 and are laid on top of the other, an actuator 121 which changes the area of opening by rotating the plate-shaped member 23 on moving side, and a control means which sends out a control signal for driving the plate-shaped member 23 on moving side into an objective rotational position to the actuator 121 so as to get the opening area corresponding to the quantity of requested air, and the control means generates a control signal for compensating a mechanical play, which occurs accompanying the rotation of the plate-shaped member 23 on moving side, and sends it out to the actuator.
