PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device to be used for the operation driving device of a vehicle. SOLUTION: This driving device is provided with a rotatable driving disk 16 connected to a motor 10 and a locking disk 20 arranged coaxially with the driving disk 16 and rotatable to a prescribed limit against the driving disk. The locking disk has detent teeth on its periphery, and a pawl 30 is pivotally fitted on a fixed axis. A recess 28 is provided on the outer periphery of the driving disk 16, and the outer periphery of the driving disk is extended in the radial direction beyond the tips of the detent teeth. The recess is provided with a bottom section having nearly the same radial depth as the gap between the detent teeth. The recess 28 forms a cam together with the outer periphery of the driving disk 16 so that the tip of the pawl 30 is lid on its upper side.
