PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized machine for foundation work with high mobility smoothly moving even on a narrow alley or a corner without increasing the weight of a leader. SOLUTION: A small-sized machine for foundation work comprises a freely rotatable upper part body 2 with a leader 6 set up on its front part, which leans backwards and extends in the horizontal direction when the machine moves. In this invention, the machine is provided with a leader support 10 capable of moving forwards on the front part of the upper part body 2. The leader support 10, jointed to the lower end of the leader 6 with a pin 4 is provided with a cylinder 5 jointed to the back part of the leader 6 for lifting and pulling down the leader 6. When the machine moves, the leader 6 is brought forwards to increase stability of running and turning movement; moreover, in doing so, the machine can run even in a narrow alley.
