PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound usable for a rapid, easy and low-cost enzyme immunoassay method of a PCB, capable of substituting a conventional complex method for assaying the PCB. SOLUTION: This phenoxy-substituted carboxylic acid derivative is represented by the general formula (1) (wherein, R1 and R2 are each a fluorine atom, a bromine atom or a trifluoromethyl group; R3 is a hydrogen atom or one of the groups of R1; R4 is an alkyl group, an aryl group, a hydrogen atom or a succinimidyl group; and m is an integer of 5-7), and is usable as the reagent for the enzyme immunoassay used when assaying the PCB by bonding the derivative to a BSA(bovine serum albumin) or the like.
