PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure conveyance accuracy to sheets of various materials and secure conveyance accuracy of the sheets even in an area outside a guarantee area conventionally where conveyance of the sheets could not be guaranteed. SOLUTION: The sheet conveyance device 2 has a conveyance roller 14 conveying a sheet, an LDV31 detecting a conveying amount of the sheet, and a control means 41 controlling driving of the conveyance roller 14. It is characterized by that the LDV31 is arranged in a face side having microscopic irregularity of the sheet and the control means 41 drives the conveyance roller 14 on the basis of an output signal of the LDV31.
