PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently recover fluorocarbon gas generated by crushing a heat insulating material when a refrigerator is subjected to crushing treatment. SOLUTION: A gas recovery system 1 is equipped with a vertical crusher 10, the vibration feeder 19 arranged at a position lower than the discharge port 17 of the vertical crusher 10 forming an airtight chamber 22 above a feed part 21, a duct 18 for introducing the crushed pieces and fluorocarbon gas discharged from the discharge port 17 into the vibration feeder 19 in an airtight state, circulating pipings 30a-30c for returning the fluorocarbon gas sucked from the airtight space 22 to the upper part of the crushing chamber 12 of the vertical crusher 10, a bag filter 31 for collecting the crushed pieces in the fluorocarbon gas circulating through the circulating pipings 30a-30c, a fan 33 for generating the circulating stream of the fluorocarbon gas and a fluorocarbon gas recovery device 37 for recovering the fluorocarbon gas from the midway part of the circulating piping 30c.
