PURPOSE: An oil strainer for preventing the introduction of air is provided to introduce only oil into an oil tank without the introduction of air even when an oil inlet port in the oil strainer is exposed to the air. CONSTITUTION: An oil strainer(3) is composed of an inlet port(3') with a first and second inlet ports(3a',3b') for sucking oil by an oil pump(2), and a filter(4) for filtering oil. A variable lever(5) selectively opens/closes the first and second inlet ports(3a',3b') of the inlet port(3').
