PURPOSE: An interrupt circuit for a portable phone is provided to perform an interrupt processing about an operation of a roller ball, so that a periodic poling about the operation of an encoder module of the portable phone is not needed. CONSTITUTION: An encoder module(11) generates first and second output pulses with different times according to the control operation of the roller ball. A central processing unit(12) generates a control signal for displaying the menu function of the portable phone to a display unit of the portable phone according to the first and second output pulses. A logic circuit(13) receives the first and second output pulses generated from the encoder module(11) and then generates an interrupt signal to the central processing unit(12).
